Empowering local youth to lead, serve, and grow with the Fair
Elizabethtown, PA — The Elizabethtown Fair is proud to announce the formation of its first-ever Junior Board, designed to engage local youth in meaningful leadership and service opportunities within the community. This new initiative reflects the Fair’s ongoing commitment to growth, education, and youth development.
The Junior Board is open to individuals ages 14 to 20 who live in the Elizabethtown Area or surrounding towns. Members will serve a one-year term, from September through August, and will assist in planning, promoting, and executing Fair-related events and community outreach throughout the year.
“The Junior Board is a great way for students to gain leadership experience, make a difference in their community, and be part of one of Elizabethtown’s longest-standing traditions,” said Junior Fair Board Committee
Interested students must complete an application and be approved by the Elizabethtown Fair Board. The board will consist of youth members, with new selections made each year to maintain membership.
An interest meeting for prospective members and their parents or guardians will be held on Wednesday, May 8th at 7:00 PM at the Elizabethtown Fairgrounds following set up for the BBQ fair fundraiser. Attendance is encouraged for those wishing to learn more about responsibilities, expectations, and the application process.
Applications will be available at the meeting and on the Elizabethtown Fair’s official website following the event.
